Rova Barinirina
Rova Barinirina has 12 years' experience in Malagasy civil society, and in recent years has played a key role in the legal establishment of the NGO INDRI, a center of expertise in collective intelligence and advocacy for landscapes, seascapes and urban landscapes. As Head of Operations, she currently ensures the coherence and quality of the project lifecycle, as well as the implementation of operational activities within this organization.
In addition to her involvement in setting up the NGO, Rova has drawn attention to the extent of air pollution in Antananarivo (using social networks and national and international media), which is now a major national environmental concern. However, her professional interest is not limited to the environment alone, as she also pays particular attention to issues of civil society mobilization and funding management, and is convinced that effective and harmonious funding mechanisms are essential to establishing successful environmental governance in Madagascar.
