The NGO of Andasibe Guides carries out its activities in the conservation of biodiversity, environmental education, and community development. I am charging Monitoring Manager within the NGO and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the SOS Lemurs project in Mahatsara. One of the lessons I have learned over the years working with the local communities is that the involvement of local actors is a mandatory factor for the success of conservation actions. If community groups strengthen their technical capacities to effectively manage their natural resources will be sustainably conserved, and human well-being will be protected.
