Agatha Ogada
I work for Blue ventures as a regional partner support coordinator,based in Mombasa, Kenya. I help build our partnerships with aligning organisations and communities. I have almost a decade and a half experience in the conservation sector in East Africa. I particularly find working with coastal communities rewarding. I believe and advocate for right based natural resource management where the local stakeholders influence management decisions. I am energised by people and cultures and the role they play in conservation leadership. The ocean is my classroom and fisher communities are my teacher. Through my work, I create visibility for my teachers (fisher communities) to share their stories.
