Milka Chepkorir

I am an indigenous person from the Singer Peoples of Cherang'any Hills in Kenya. I work for my community and other communities across the continent on strengthening their indigenous ways to conserve and sustainably use resources on their territories. At the ICCA Consortium, we refer to these territories at "Territories of Life". Currently, I work at the Consortium as the Co-coordinator for Africa on Policy and Advocacy. As an Anthropologist and a gender professional, I am interested in gender inclusivity in community conservation; this is mainly inspired by the patriarchal nature of communities like mine and many of those I work for.
