Rachael Murton
Wildlife Rescue Director, Game Rangers International (GRI), Zambia, taking a holistic approach to wildlife conservation. I joined GRI at its inception in 2008 to establish the Elephant Orphanage Project with a background in biology, research, animal rehabilitation and education. Recently we have expanded our wildlife rescue reach to primates with the ethos to release wildlife back into the wild where it belongs. Wildlife rescue is a reactive response to wildlife conflicts/crimes and in all cases our efforts are coupled with community outreach and resource protection for maximum impact and long-term change.
Interested in promoting research led rehabilitation and release, compassionate conservation and advocacy of animal welfare legislation.
