Silvia Museiya
Silvia Museiya is the Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Wildlife, Tourism, and Heritage in the Republic of Kenya. She comes from a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural background, born to a small hunter-gatherer indigenous community of Mukogodo forest in Laikipia North called Yiaku.
Prior to her appointment as PS, Ms Museiya served as a Member of the County Assembly (MCA) in the Nairobi City County Assembly, where, besides providing oversight to the Nairobi City County Government, she served diligently as the Chairperson of the Education Committee.
Ms. Museiya holds a Bachelor of Law (LL. B) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from the University of Nairobi; a Diploma in Human Rights and International Advocacy from Colombia University New York School of Law and she is an alumnus of Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) 2007. She is a published author with two books to her name.
