Daniel Sopia
Daniel Sopia is the Chief Executive Officer of the Maasai Mara Conservancies Association (MMWCA), an umbrella body for conservancies in the greater Maasai Mara ecosystem with a current membership of 24. Sopia has, for years, worked with communities to create conservancies and put in place structures to protect Kenya’s diverse ecosystems and enhance livelihoods. Sopia’s contributions to the conservation sector extend to legal and policy framework formulation. He remains a key voice in the sector where he shares ideas and best practices through various platforms.
