Dickson Kaelo

Dickson Ole Kaelo is a conservation ecologist and a community conservation champion with over 20 years experince designing practical community conservation solutions in Kenya. He is the founding CEO of Kenya Wildlife Conservancies Association (KWCA) a national grassroots organization and voice for conservancies in Kenya. As the CEO of KWCA, Mr. Kaelo has in the last 9 years provided strategic national leadership role which has promoted the growth and recognition of Kenya’s conservancy network as a viable strategy for addressing biodiversity loss and rural development. The network comprises of over 200 conservancies covering over 7.3 million hectares of conservation land which represents about 12% of Kenya’s land area.
