I am a Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mpingo Conservation & Development Initiative (MCDI).
MCDI is a National conservation Organization based in Kilwa District-Lindi Region. MCDI seeks to improve lives and conserve forests in Tanzania and contribute to the global conservation initiatives. The Organization uses sustainable forest management to achieve these ends, leveraging the value of forest-based resources including timber as a means to conserve forest resources and lift the resource owners (the rural communities, out of poverty.
I am is a skilled forester, a dedicated and passionate conservationist, with two International prestigious conservation awards and one National award won through MCDI:
2016 Whitley Award for nature conservation: Whitley Fund for Nature 2016 Whitley Award
2016 National Geographic Society Buffett Award for Leadership in African Conservation.
