My job entails advocating for policy reforms; this may take time to see results. Nevertheless, what motivates me is the fact that I know the reforms are long-standing and serve a bigger constituent (Kenyas at large) than target communities and landowners; that makes me want to do it over and over. The often genuine handshakes from elderly men and women and, in recent times, younger ones, who, after learning policy contexts that are ordinarily out of their reach, are an affirmation of more empowered people. This brings me contentment.
