Navonaeli Omari-Kaniki
Mrs Kaniki is an environmental manager who has worked on a wide array of projects related to coastal and marine resources in Tanzania Mainland. These projects for private sector developers and development agencies involved establishing a baseline of what natural resources are found in a proposed project area, what the potential impacts could ensue and what measures can be taken to minimize these impacts. Mrs Kaniki is currently the Executive Director of Sea Sense, a Tanzanian NGO that promotes the sustainable use of coastal and marine resources in Tanzania for the preservation of marine biodiversity and the health and prosperity of coastal communities
