Belinda Low
Belinda is co-founder and executive director of the Grevy’s Zebra Trust, a Kenyan organization working with pastoralist communities to increase the endangered Grevy’s zebra population in northern Kenya. When she co-founded the Trust in 2007, Belinda recognized that healthy land to support Grevy’s zebra, other wildlife and community livelihoods, was critical, and focused her energy on developing her organisation’s capacity to support resilience practices and help communities manage their resources for pastoralism and wildlife to thrive. Belinda is a member of IUCN’s Equid Specialist Group, the African Conservation Leadership Network, and a fellow of Women for the Environment (WE) Africa.
